If you look away from your twitter feed for 5 seconds, you’ll have missed about 50 tweets. So searching through every single tweet in existence to find what you’re looking for does not sound like my idea of fun. If it’s yours, that’s fair enough…Everyone has their oddities;) But if you’re looking for a faster way to search and tweet, then listen up because there are a few things you can do to make your Twitter life easier.
Sick of negative tweets? Try adding a 🙂 to your searches and you’ll find nothing but joy…. Oh and maybe the odd bit of passive aggression, but hey – these are hacks, not magic happy pills.
Searching by location? If you’re searching for something specific to Texas, i.e. what your neighbours are saying about the latest X factor show, then type: Texas: X factor.
Tweeting taking too long? Say goodbye to your mouse with twitter keyboard shortcuts. Typing GH will take you to your main feed, hitting GR will show your mentions and N allows you to compose a new tweet. Oh and hit M to show a direct message, and the space bar to scroll through pages. Sorted!
Tired of mind-numbingly boring updates? Never fear; the #discover feed is tailored specifically for you and you should find these algorithmically curated tweets much more interesting!
More of an old-school texter? No problem! Just turn on twitter text messaging on your mobile tab. Bingo! Click here for all of the info you need on Twitter SMS.
Of course, if technology is REALLY getting you frustrated, there’s always this…..
and I hear it tweets too.
